Province Fosters Business Expansion and Innovation

Ontario's Government for the people is investing more than $500,000 in two manufacturing companies in the Timiskaming Region, creating 12 full-time positions and retaining another 93 full-time jobs.

"We are committed to creating and protecting jobs and boosting local economies across Northern Ontario," said Greg Rickford, Minister of Energy, Northern Development and Mines. "By investing in manufacturing projects that stimulate growth and innovation, we are reinforcing the north's competitive advantage and sending a signal to the world that Northern Ontario is open for business and open for jobs."

Investments include:

  • $455,580 for Three H Furniture Systems Ltd. in Temiskaming Shores to make its manufacturing space bigger and increase productivity by reorganizing the plant, renovating the warehouse, constructing a cold storage facility and purchasing new equipment.
  • $54,709 for Temiskaming Industrial Mining Equipment (TIME) Ltd. in Haileybury to increase production levels and expand fabrication capabilities by purchasing new equipment.

"Our government is protecting what matters most and fighting for the people of Ontario by investing in local businesses like Three H and TIME," said Minister Rickford. "We are helping to match companies looking to hire with workers seeking opportunity and development."
